RED GALORE

AND so we continue!

Shooting has been slow but I was able to shoot the scene where she dances by herself in the room. I've asked my friend Sophie, who has a record player if she can shoot that for me, since I don't have one, and she agreed, so thats that. On the other hand, the band hasn't answered so I might have to change the music she dances to but i have hope, so fingers crossed...
I had a few issues to shoot this week. I was supposed to borrow equipment from my cousin who was coming home around Tuesday. He kept having to stay so I pushed back on the shooting, and he ended up not coming because he wanted to make the safest decision in terms of his parents who are in the risky age for covid-19. I get it, and honestly I could've shot what I did earlier. I have just been pushing it back because it just didn't feel right.
I want each scene that is indoors to have the hue of the mood she is in at the moment, so for this scene I chose red. I was supposed to use a gel on the lens, but since I didn't, I hung different color clothes on the lights of my bathroom to see how it looked. Here are the trial shots:

I decided the red fit the mood and the song better, so I stuck with it, got ready and started filming!
You might be wondering how without a gel or tripod I achieved that shot... well it took a minute to figure it out and a whole lotta tape.

After doing that I decided to edit a little draft of what the scene would look like based on the footage I had, to see if I had to reshoot, and this is what I came up with

I'm not sure if I'll use all that, and I think I might have to redo it, or use the chiller parts, because I realized that I want less emotion, I want her to seem kind of stoic until the scream at the end, but this might symbolize her wanting to let go and not doing so. I think it might be a good idea to do her normal in another more toned down color like blue or the green I did before, or vice versa. We will see.
st!
